Fun Day on the Kolomona at the Santa Barbara Island - Sunday 3/20/16

Weather finally cooperated and we headed out with Jeff (Webmaster) on Sunday 3/20. Launched from Long Beach, got a scoop of Sardines and made the long trek out to the Santa Barbara Island in search of some quality Rockfish and hoping to find some Yellowtails. It was a highly successful mission.

Binh (BadBeat) and I took a couple of friends who has never gone sport fishing in the salt before. I mean, they were the greenest Rookies ever... LOL
We gave them each a Scopace patch to wear and hoped for the best. It was priceless seeing them get their butts kicked by the big Yellows.

We caught a wide assortment of Rockfish and five Yellowtail between 15-20 lbs.

Good times! Chris and Vi, glad to have you two on board. Hope you guys enjoyed it and come back out again soon.
Brother Binh, always a pleasure fishing with you bro... see you again this Saturday.
