Got to the lake around 9am. Started at Sawpit Creek. Missed one on a red eye shad. Wind was picking up so I drifted over to the bank across from Sawpit. Fished the bank and the 1st cove to the left of the main channel. No luck at either spot. Wind picked up pretty good by now it took 1 hour to get back to the marina. Fished my spot at the marina missed one on a jig. Decided to wrap it up, headed from the marina towards the swim beach. Got around the rocky point and did the one last cast. Whammo!!! Nailed the smaller bass on a 1/2 spinner bait white skirt. One more cast whammo!!! The big girl on now, she was so fat she could barely breach the surface. A few more casts no more takers... Great end to a tough day.
