The bass in Mission Viejo have been almost completely decimated. They died a terrible death after being affected by golden algae.

No big bass at all. You can catch the small stockers on mini jigs off mid-dock. Water clarity is pretty bad. It's not what it was before the die-off last year. On the other hand, trout fishing has been great this season both on shore and off the boats. Pretty much a limit every outting if you know what you're doing. Nice quality fish being dumped in all season long. Nice colors and full tails. Nebraska Tailwalkers go in this Wednesday again!

Who stocked the bass? Bucket biologists or the people who run the lake? Or are you just using stocker to refer to the size of the fish lol...

Wow. That means 3-4 years before it will be worth fishing. At least they have food in there.

Trout action has been excellent this year. Tons of fish being caught, and I personally headed out the last 2 saturdays. Ended up with 7 quality bows between the 2 days. Head on out. Such a shame about the LMB die off. Was one of the lucky ones who pulled out a 12.6lb back in 2007. Praying the bass population booms over the next few years.

Logging I have recently seen some bass fry and also some big ones around if you ask at the lake they have some recent GoPro video of some nest and some decent size bass. They have also stocked some small shiners for food for the bass and cats. Problem now is the cormorants.
