Got out again this morning and conditions were good except the strong 8-12mph blowing straight from the east making it tough to cast. I arrived at 6:45 with the intention of pulling on some calico. I managed 1 on my 3rd cast before the sun had rose.
Put up a good tussle and went over 18"
After loosing a salt minnow i decided to toss the LC for a bit for nada and switch to the dropshot. Got this guy within 30 mins.
After 20 more minutes i slid my 7th legal halibut of the year on the sand! wooo!
Went 23"
scrapped a few more shorts, lost another salt minnow and called it a day.
