They will stock only what they can afford. Thank God the lake is low which allows a lot of shoreline access. Hopefully the fish will hang near the shoreline so people will be able to catch them. Otherwise it will be a death spiral, people will show up and don't catch any fish and won't show up again. Stock less, people don't show up, stock less etc etc etc.

Why not lower your admission prices? Lake Hemet doesn't charge nearly as much as you do and they seem to be doing fine. Something called elasticity you need to look into. Might make more money if you lower your price to like $10 to get in and have more than 2x the people show up. Run some groupons or something. Comeon people. Not everyone is rich and can afford to pay like $75 for their family to spend the afternoon fishing.

Going from 30 employees to 8 by the end of November. The writing is on the wall for Irvine Lake to close soon.
Man, there are certain individuals who probably shouldn't be making public comments regarding budgetary constraints considering the fact their own salary was revealed weeks ago, and many FNNers called them out on it. I'd be trying to find the largest rock to hide under.
I'd personally be insulted by some person saying, "We're barely staying afloat," when your OWN egregious salary is part of the problem.
But nothing to see here, folks.
Guys I've been telling you this for months now since the private boat ban. Irvine Lake will be closed by years end. Looks like it's coming to an end because of the recent staff cuts. Skip Irvine and start spending time learning a new lake to slay the fish!
