    Default Beach Caution!

Anybody going to the beach to fish, surf, swim or whatever, here's a heads up for y'all... Apparently a sea snake was found on the beach in Oxnard. These things are as venomous as a cobra so if you see any weird looking snakes on the beach use caution, call the local Lifeguards or Animal Control..... (info below)...

As someone who spent some time with sea snakes in Southern Mexico while a much younger surfer what you say is true with the caveat that although having their venom injected could be deadly...their mouths and teeth are tiny and they must chew to inject the venom. Good advice from Fish Dog.

These have always been here. I actually know of ONE nest (a better term would be a nursery) site in SOC. provided they survive, they generally will return to the same spot to lay eggs.

edit: Derp not lay eggs. But to give birth. I'm slow today :\
