Fished 1 pm until closing at 6 pm. Wind was out of S/SW. Water temp was 78-79 degrees. Water was gin clear. Zero clouds.
Pulled into a cove on the north side that looked good and stumbled on an amazing top water bite. The weeds were thick, but not a lot were completely out of the water.
The silversides were stacked in like cordwood. There was so many that the carp were swooping in too.
Caught bass from 3" to 3-4 pounds. Got blown up on by some big big fish. I felt that on any cast I had a chance at a DD. Was throwing a pencil popper type bait. Did this for about 2.5 hours. Grass together with rock was the key in a sort of flats like terrain. All were fat and healthy.
Got one nicer fish by the quarry on a bluegill swim bait. No real takers on the DS.
One fish pic and construction pics of the new ramp.
