Tips for pismo/morro beaches?

I'll be at Pismo for the weekend. Thought i'd bring a rod. Any tips on what and how to fish the beaches? Any lures i should get?

I'm sure it would and would be worth the time to find out.

But the action of the worm on a Carolina rig as the wave action tosses the leader around may be the ticket.

That sled head would sit on the bottom and I'm not sure that's the ticket.

But it's only 10 mins of experimentation
