Default On Board the Kolo with Wingnut and the Webmaster. Sunday 8-16

Hello FNN, I just got registered and this is my first report.

Arthur invited me to fish with him and Jeff yesterday on the Kolomona. Since I was was a complete rookie and my biggest saltwater fish weighs around 10 lbs, they decided that chasing Tuna wasn't the best option. So it was decided that we head to Catalina for the day to hunt some Yellowtails.
Well, all I have to say is that this was the best day of fishing I ever had. I caught my biggest fish ever and had so much fun fishing with Jeff and Arthur.

I want to thank Arthur for inviting me. We talked about it for a long time, but this was actually the first time we fished together and I can't wait to do it again.

Jeff, thank you for being such a gracious host and showing me the ropes and being so patient with this rookie. I appreciate you filleting the fish for me and you and Arthur gave me all the fish to take home. Can't wait to see the video.

    Love this shirt Arthur.

    The Rookie.

Trying to catch Mackerels for bait, not doing so good.

    Buying some Sardines.

    It was a beautiful sunrise

Me and Jeff, the best Captain.

    First hook up.

    A nice Bonito.

    Second hook up.

Jeff getting to gaff my fish.

The biggest fish I ever caught.

    Another hook up.

    And another.

The last hook up was the biggest fish.

I had to sit down, this fish was kicking my butt.

There were lots of boats out there.

Thanks again for filleting the fish Jeff.

I kept one whole fish to take home as instructed by the wife. Happy wife... happy life.

The wife hard at work on our dinner.

The fish was full of shrimp and Sardines.

    Dinner, great job honey.

Thanks again Jeff and Arthur, can't wait to do it again soon.
I'm ready for some Tuna next time!

    Nice report and pictures Vu..
I know you didn't know this, BUT, if you're fishing with Arthur and looking to get a PB, it's pretty much in the bag...
His Spidey senses must have been working real well on Sunday.

Good job getting them on some nice fish......let's hope it continues...

    Arturo,
Thanks for returning my glasses Bro.
It looked like a beautiful day out there.

    Take Care All,
    Robert

    Very nice first report Vu.
I bet your neck, back, arms and shoulders were sore this morning.
You fought those big Yellows like a champ and I think you might be ready for some Tuna action.
I knew with Jeff at the helm, we were going to accomplish our mission of getting you on your personal best fish.
Good times Cousin in Law... I hope the family enjoyed the fruits of your bounty and let's do it again soon.
Tell the wifey dinner looks great! The poke food pic looks heavenly... almost makes me miss having an Iron Chef of my own. Almost... lol

Looks like a great day out on the water Vu. I've had the pleasure of sharing a boat with both Jeff and Arthur and they are really fun to fish with.
Congratulations on your personal best fish and hope you catch a even bigger one next time.

Really enjoyed feeling the excitement and enjoyment in your report and pictures, you know great fishing and results like those are always cool, but friends like you have there are much more valuable, as I'm sure you'll agree, congrats on both!
