Default 08-08-2015 Pierpoint landing PM trip false report

This is what Pierpoint landing report:

    Southern Cal
    Sat Aug 08 2015, 07:16PM
1/2 Day PM 32 31 Yellowtail 19 Barracuda Pierpoint Landing
    Southern Cal
    Sat Aug 08 2015, 07:16PM
    1/2 Day AM 56 25 Yellowtail 21 Barracuda

I know for a fact as I was one of the 60 or so passengers on the boat and the WHOLE boat, no one caught anything. Not a SOUL, FISH, OR anything that was catchable, except ONE bird. We even tried for mackerel and none was biting. The only fish we caught are back at the bait barge which were some mackerel and Tom Cod which were thrown back. Everyone received a 2 for 1 pass from captain.
I don't know why this happens as I went on this boat numerous of times and usually their posting is accurate.
I also know that AM trip did not catch nearly of what they reported. Maybe there were 3-5 yellowtails and 3 barracudas.
It looks like they took the report on Friday and duplicated for Saturday.
I hope it is not to lure people in.
Just doing my 2 cent reports here.

Think we found the Southern Cal captain. Guy is just reporting his observations and the difference between what this party boat reported and what was actually caught. If he is wrong that is a point of debate and they (or people who were on the boat and did catch or witness catches) are free to come here and offer rebuttals. You are the one that needs to STFU.

"Party boats take a beating as is and your post is bullcrap."

Actually they are making a killing, 30 - 60 people everyday on the 1/2 days x 2 (am pm)
    5 - 10 mile boat trip.

The problem is the Groupon. $25 for Yellowtail ? What a deal.

They make less with the Groupon crowd. I wish they charged full price and had less people.

Don't cheap out on the crew also. Those Deckies are busting/***.
I tip the cook $10 and the head deckie $20 always.

If you tip good then when you hookup they make sure your fish gets gaffed.

Too bad on the report. I do not think they faked the report. Possible human error ?

They have had no problem getting passengers with this YT bite going on.
I have 6 pm trips on the So Cal the last 3 weeks.
1 trip sculpin, 3 trips YT, 1 cuds trip, 1 skunk trip.

On friday I only got 1 cuda, a buddy on board gave me a YT and I split it with a Team 57 guy, Martin Chu.

Don't expect a YT every trip, It's called fishing and with about only 3 hours of soaking bait be grateful if you get one.
