Hot hot hot it was today. A chore to stay hydrated. The bass were licking. Boat dock cove is almost one continuous grass mat to the courtesy docks. Grass mats on about 30% of the lake but little at the inlet dove. Water clarity was low in a lot of areas.

Top water fishing was good along with a little reaction bite also. Did not fish a worm, jig or dropshot today. The fish are scattered and roaming with so much cover available? Caught 11 up to about 4+ lbs.

    Where frogs go to die......

Nice going, but keep it on the down low....we don't want word getting out that people can catch bass in boats that cost less than 30K!

30% of the lake being grass mats might be a bit of stretch, but there is definitely some prime frogging area to be had.....congrats on the nice catch and thank you for the report!

Yah, you are right, maybe 30% of the shoreline was mats. Forgot about all the mid lake deep trolling water...
Good stuff out there right now. Very fun indeed! Can't beat top water bass fishing.
