Fished the second half of the day. Water temp was 74-76. Wind us up to 13 mph plus out of the SW, and swirling in any vertical areas
The water has cleared up a bunch and the grass has bloomed. Some small mats in sheltered areas. Tons of 3-5 inch bass fry and smaller gill fry.
Couldn't get a reaction bite going at a dam or on windy pts.
Fished shady vertical stuff with plastics and got it going. Did get some follows on the blade in these same areas.
Excitement of the day......dead sticking (that's what you say when you are dicking around not paying attention, I'm dead sticking...;) a smaller slow sink gill glide bait, the line goes tight, cross his eyes and get two handle turns, fatty jumps and kicks lure out. Sayonara!
The bass fry are so inquisitive, they come out of the rocks like WTF is this boat doing here!
Oh yah, there were divers working around the attenuator docks and you can now see what appears to be the 4x4? cement anchor blocks for the former docks. There is no more third walk in cove. The water is now many feet below the last center ramp extension.
