    Default Cachuma Quickie

    Just got back from Cachuma. Super Windy both days.

    Stayed in the Yurts. Ht the shore fishing Sunday from 5 to dusk. Got 3 on shrimp, night crawler and a drop shot. All channel cats and all small. Also lost 2 proper ish but more likely light line and wind making it more than they were.

    Pontoon Monday. Nailed cats in all the coves. Fished Cachuma cove most of the day with the family. The goofballs took down 9 and my wife 2. We caught some more around the lake in the coves but all the fish were SMALL. Shrimp was better than the crawlers but the crawlers were easier for them to eat.

    Solid weekend but the fish were small and so were the catches from the other people.

    Thanks for the report. How small were the channel catfish? 12 inches?

    Yea, not much size at all. Under a pound.
