I met up with my friend and went to longbeach for some fresh air and a little halibut fishing.

Despite the clouds and little wind, we could manage a few short bites here and there.
I started with a jerkbait for a while for nothing then switched to the deadlest dropshot combo I trust most.

Soon, I lost one right in front of my feet.
My friend hooked two on a jerkbait and lost them through headshaking.
He told me one of them actually jumped out of the water.

Finally a legal halibut wanted test my line.
It bit pretty close to the shore and didn't move much. So I thought probably snag then violent pull. I kept pressuring.
Good to know that the hook was perfectly embedded.

Well, my first halibut this year is a legal halibut.
Hope to see that trend going all along this year. :D
