The removal or desire to remove Confederate symbols/statues/monuments and to rename buildings/streets/places and streets is eerily like in the book 1984. The protagonist Winston Smith, a member of the Outer Party, works in the Records Department of the Ministry of Truth as an editor, revising historical records, to make the past conform to the ever-changing party line and deleting references to unpersons, people who have been "vaporised", i.e. not only killed by the state but denied existence even in history or memory.

It does not take a stretch of imagination to see some of the things portrayed in the book have come to life today.

And this has nothing to do with your backing of a flag whose resurgence was racist at it's core, regardless of it's Confederate history.
Unfortunately it does. In the near history, that flag was hijacked by racist democrat and nationalistic socialist founded groups like the KKK. Today, it has made a comeback not for racist purposes, but for what it was conceived for, a battle flag, or a symbol of rebellion against tyranny by an ever growing centralized federal government hell bent on consolidating power over the states and the individual, all in the name of social justice. Indeed, divide and conquer. The establishment has recognized that hence the attempted destruction and elimination of the civil war, and more specifically the Confederacy's true history. The establishment knows it's in trouble with the people hence the rise in popularity of a man like Donald Trump. Both establishment parties are literally "sh***ing bricks". You can ridicule him all you like, but it just makes the obvious that much more apparent. Today's minority groups are being used as pawns by an elitist globalist socialist/fascist movement for the purposes of further empowerment and financial gain for the elites, that you can't recognize that is not surprising. Or perhaps you do and are actually an active player in that. I believe the term "useless idiots" was coined for folks like that...

Don't claim to make comparisons to the book 1984. I've read it more than most.

Sorry, but no. There is no "near history" for its resurgence. That is nothing more than revisionist history you claim to be accusing others of committing.

And I already "said it". Robert E. Lee had no abolitionist history. He was a great General and a fine gentleman, but had the unfortunate circumstance of living in a time and place where his skills and thoughts condemned him to an unfortunate legacy. I admire Lee. I don't admire those who used him.

Sorry drywaller. Once again: there is no "near history" for its resurgence. That is nothing more than revisionist history you claim to be accusing others of committing.
