    Interesting that those seem to have vanished. I guess with a lot of fly lines coming with welded loops nowadays, most folks either use a loop-to-loop connection, or the "purists" stick with nail knots.

    I've been using these for a few years and have had no problem. Easy to make the connection and tie on the tapered leader or tippet.

    I think they discontinued them. I tried them a couple times, but a nail knot is quick and easy. Usually, I just use a surgeon's knot to tie on a short piece of tippet as needed.
