Default Legg Lake with light tackle

Oh boy, I've been fishing 4lb. test since Feb. and it's been fun! Sorry for the late post. This was last Friday the 15th. I got to the lake around 6pm and to my fave spot (the retarded pier that they built a few years ago). I can only dream for the fishing opps if the pier went out twice as far.
Anyway, it took me an hour to figure out the color. I started with a drop-shot rig and put on that same plastic skirt in the pix. I caught a lil' bass and didn't bother taking a pic. Then I switched to the jig because of the bait fish that were boiling. First cast on the jib and bang on the way down. They seemed to be hitting when I would jig and stop. I caught 8 fish in 15min. Unbelievable! It reminded me of the days when the sandbass were thick in the ocean. Just casting and keeping an eye on the line. Once you get a tap on the line, reel as fast as you can. Boom! All bass released. I took the Gills and fried them up. Kids almost ate the entire fish. Just a couple of toothpicks left after they chowed down.Click image for larger version.

awesome, you definitely had them figured out.
I've never seen a blue gill get pulled out of Legg, I always see people targeting Bass or Cats.
Pretty cool to finally see one, thanks for posting.

Nice job bro! Those panfish are actually Bluegill/Redear hybrids. Looks like the last pic is a purebred Redear Sunfish. Those fish are super fun on ultralight outfits!
