Great news! Thanks for posting this. Now pray for rain so we can start using it...
http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-32704506
We could be getting that rain this winter. This years El Niņo prediction is stronger than last years
I gleaned from the linked report the following financial information:
Costs of initial ramp extension = $648,000
Launch Fees Collected since ramp extension = $340,790
Add'l. Fees: Fishing & Trail Permits & Citations = $352,969, (which does not reflect the increase in fees since they doubled the fishing permit fee a few months ago)!
Total Launch Fees & Fishing Permit Revenues since 1st ramp extension = $693,759
Costs of 1st Ramp Extension = $ 648,000
Difference - Residual Revenues since 1st ramp extension from private boaters = +$45,759
Obviously, the loss of the private boat launch fees and fishing permits are losing them money! It does take rocket science to figure out they need the private boater to increase their revenues.

Good news.....great!!!!!
cant wait to see the new prices after this is done............
Same company that runs DVL is going nuts with price increases at Lake Gregory that they run, only at it a year and they are requesting dramatic increases.
Good luck!
your crazy if you don't think they are going to raise rates....they wont wait 4 months let alone 4 years! i'd bet my bottom dollar they raise rates in typical diamond fashion.. but hey what can you do! what sucks is they raise rates but don't raise salaries or benefits for the hard working folks ( stan, Tom, etc ) that make diamond what it is! some idiot in a suit behind a desk is the only pocket that gets bigger...
also did you configure the price of water they are going to have to buy back? they aren't just going to extend the ramp and call it good they need to put the ramp under a few feet of water.............
