    Default Alondra Park Derby Report

Had a pretty good time at the event, the fish were biting good on the North end of the lake and we caught a decent amount. Left with a total of 5 catfish but the the bite was off and on. My son had a blast as always and we left the park happy, I wouldn't doubt there are still a ton of catfish still left for the upcoming week.

When in doubt, you can always use the small whole white shrimp found in the Mexican Super Markets meat and fish section. You can add a small white marshmallow if you want to get fancy. They always work!!!! (I like to peel my shrimp when fishing)

Carolina rig is always good!!!! If you have a worm blower use it or a marshmallow will help. If you get desperate 2 N/C on the same hook will sometimes drive them crazy. (just be gentle when casting) or there went 50 cents flying thru the air. lol

Geese are bad news???????? I like Geese, they don't eat fish and don't tangle my bobber line. Ducks are stupid, they will swim right into my lines and tangle up everything. The Geese on the other hand, will float right on top of my line and barely kick and gentle go over my lines without tangling them up. lol
