    Sorry to hear about the loss of your uncle and father figure TB. How fortunate you were that your uncle stepped up to the plate and became that figure. Kudos to him! I don't know if you heard but I lost my father in January and he, the same as your uncle, brought me up hunting, fishing and instilled a love for the outdoors in me. The first thought in my mind when I saw that that fish was a DD was "ya baby, this is what I'm talking about, thanks dad!". The LMB DD evaded him in his lifetime, but the passion to hunt them lives on through his son and now his grandsons.

    Anytime I can invoke good memories like that is truly an honor TB, it's my pleasure and you are very welcome!

    Thanks for your post bro!

    trail blazer & HawgZWylde,

    My father did not hunt and fished with me when I was growing up; but I had a great uncle who would go anytime I called him. Without a doubt, I enjoyed many hours of fun and the outdoors with him. He didn't have a son of his own, (3 daughter), so I guess I became his would be son. He has long ago passed onto the great hunting & fishing grounds now; but I still hold a very special place in my heart for him when I am wetting a line.

    Take a Kid Fishing!! I do every chance I get; but it is sometimes hard to get them up and going in the morning at "O Dark 30"!

    That's wonderful that like TB, your uncle stepped up to the plate and passed it forward with you! As for taking the kids out, the Bako Boys are a couple of the best. Check this out;

    These guys are monster anglers with BIG hearts too boot. Big kudos to them.

    As for getting the kids up? In my house they get one chance to peacefully awaken, if they don't get up, I send in this 85lb bundle of love. He just LOVES waking his boys up early! Lol;

    Trust me, they get up real quick...
