I thought I was dreaming and found out it's not a dream, such a place exists.
If I could dream a fisherman’s dream it would be a place that had a vast variety of fish to choose from:

And that variety of fish could be caught in a size to brag about: http://www.dnr.sc.gov/fish/freshrecs/records.html
With many lakes and reservoirs to choose from:

And those lakes are marked by Fish & Game where manmade habitat has been placed: http://dnr.sc.gov/fish/fishattract/fishattr.html
And for those that can’t afford to buy equipment a loaner program is provided at 29 locations around the state: http://dnr.sc.gov/aquaticed/loan/
Where my annual fishing license is only $10: http://www.dnr.sc.gov/licenses/pricingresident.html
Statewide unlimited access pass to state parks $75 per year: http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/pa...t/default.aspx
A state that has a significantly smaller population and a much smaller revenue stream for hunters and fishermen it makes you wonder what are they doing right and California is doing so wrong. Oh and did I mention the state has next to no Government land it is all private ownership with very few exceptions.
