    Default Balboa Pier 4/26/15

I strolled by Balboa Pier at roughly 4:00 p.m. Fishermen closer to the shore were having no luck with mussel and blood worms. Fishing heavy sinkers I would estimate upwards of 3 ounces. Fishermen mid pier were rigged for halibut I believe and were having no luck as well. In the far end moderate luck but extremely slow action on the mackerel. Using sabiki rigs topped off with squid strips. Balboa appears dead for now, will be coming back this weekend for an additional update.

Side note: Rented a skiff earlier in the day for my girlfriends birthday, saw numerous anglers with varying degrees of luck on bass. Abundance of life too, many birds and seals. Very windy however and there is a powerful current going through right now I believe.
