Thread: Fishmas 2015 Crowley Lake

    Default Fishmas 2015 Crowley Lake

Fished both Saturday and Sunday from a boat in McGee bay mostly, we had six in our group fishing 3 to a boat. Picked up limits for all on Saturday by 10:30 am in about 14 feet of water. Several nice cutthroats and Browns in the limits. The weather was almost to much with the wet snow and cold wind!

Sunday the weather was the same story minus the snow, and the bite was a little more subdued . You really had to watch your pole, they didn't try and take the rods out of the boat like Saturday. One of our guys bailed on Sunday, he had enough of the weather. Down to 5 guys 2 limited , the other 3 had 2 fish each. Off the lake by 11am. SO WINDY!
Went into crooked cove to get some rest from the wind, picked up one nice brown on a 5 foot kencor (such a good fight with the ultra light rig) also caught and released two small cuthroats on a pink kastmaster

Baits that worked. Lemon twist, lime twist. Red and gold Thomas buyoants, Kastmasters...the fish were definitely bigger this year, all the rainbows were 1.5-2lb each
