Nice write up Mr Don.... I know how you roll because we have the same style when it comes to the mine field and LCs. You know as well as I do that a lot of nice checkers and other species are in those sketchy areas and it is simply a roll of the dice and a HIGH STICK with a SLOW ROLL hoping for that attack...LOL
I don't know about you but I pretty much hold my breath when I make one of those casts but a lot of the time it pays off in a big sorta way.
Your beautiful chunk is sure testimony to your willingness to take a chance with a 20 dollar bait!

Looking forward to a northern trip with you and Arthur real soon. Our brother needs some serious healing time on the sand with a few close friends. Trust me when I say that I've shed quite a few tears while facing Poseidon with my feet on the sand. The waves and salt air have a way of healing the soul.
