    Default 4/15/15 Afternoon

Took a chance with the wind yesterday afternoon from a rental. It was not that bad. I guess the location of DVL is above or outside or above the influence of the Santa Ana winds. It was a little breezy but not bad.

Dumped a bunch on the jerk bait. One toad I got to the boat then spit it. Light line and long casts...spinning rod. Not one blade fish. However the windy point bite is good on the plastics.

This one was 22", a legal halibut ;)

Way to go man....I almost took off work yesterday just to put the boat on the lake one last time....Nice fish there bro. I did throw the blade in pre-fish for nothin. I wonder why they aren't biting it. They were hammering it in the pre-spawn.

I think they are a little mellower than pre spawn right, trying to get healthy again.
But, run a minnow bait by them for an easy meal and lights out.
