Irvine Lake West Shore Real Report 4/6/15

Hit up Vine during the half off deal and fished at the West Shore. The bite was very slow with my brother being the only person at the West Shore to actually catch a trout. There were several bites but they were one and done with no chance to set the hook. I lost a giant trout due to my inexperience reeling in a larger fish but otherwise not much action on the lake. We left at noon due to prior engagements, for the price i guess it wasn't too bad.

Thanks for posting the report. Waning Gibbous moon phase doesn't help the bite, either. I bet they went off today though with this nice pre-frontal system moving in. Wish I could have gone today!

Is there a tournament on Saturday? I don't see it on the site.

there will be a master tournmant with 40 anglers on 20 rental boats provided by Irvine l;ake.the forty have qualified already from previous tournamts.6-to-2 oclock------cant wait--good luck everybody.
