Hi everyone does anyone know if the aquaduct gates have scheduled times they open and close or are they random times thanks a bunch

They change on a daily basis due to each days demand. Inside of that basic principle each individual gate will be adjusted depending on downstream and upstream gains and losses.
Having said that there are trends.
For instance they love to pump at night when off peak electricity rates are cheaper, weekends as well.
Hot days will have more demand than cold rainy days.
Hope this helps
Elevation changes from gate to gate will also factor current.
For instance, a gate with a greater head differential (the difference of the upstream from the downstream) will seem to have more current.
That's because the pressure on the upstream is trying to equalize to the same level as the downstream...
Take Lost hills gate and Lerdo.
Lost hills gates are almost always our of the water, open 20 ft with virtually no difference in head differential. You go downstream to Lerdo and the gates are only open 8 ft with a head differential of 10 ft.
Both gates will have the same volume of water passing through but the Velocities are so much greater at Lerdo due to the head difference that the gate only needs to be open 8 ft vs the 20ft at Lost hills...
Siphon are very similar since they do not hold water back and build up the upstream side so the current doesn't seem so strong as a gate with a big head diff.

Thanks a million MR. Cutbait
cutbait is the one who control all the flow schedules...that why he catches all the fish hahaha...
Ya his nickname is Quinbait for the duct.
