bye Hector Olivera... we hardly knew ya.

On another note, it was nice to see some clutch hitting last night...that fixes lots of issues (errors, bad pitching) in a hurry.
so, are the Whiz Kids putting the pieces together to get Price before tomorrow afternoon or is this the rotation for the stretch?
Price is with Toronto.
All the trading is done.
We got Latos, we got Wood. Let's hope that's enough to propel us to the promise land.
There's no way Toronto would deal their #1 prospect, to organize a deal to send what they just got, to the Dodgers so that we can send them junk.
As I said, i was a bit disappointed we didn't land that big arm we were looking for, but at least we held fast on dealing away our prospects for a semi-run to the WS.
has Joc Pedred out?
It's hard to see him keep making the same mistakes over and over, and then have it become mental.
It's almost like he has already made the decision to swing (or not swing) before the pitch is even made.
Where's the hitting coach to assist? Perhaps cut back on the swing so your hands and weight are held back as long as possible so you're not continuously fooled on off speed pitches? This guy strikes out more than LQ does during Ladies Night at Barney's Beanery.
It looks like Mattingly is going to let him watch some games from the bench and try to figure out how to make some adjustments...that might involve using a lighter bat and doing some 2-strike hitting to the opposite field...he's a good center fielder...I hope he figures it out. Also, it looks like Ethier might make it easier for Mattingly to sit Pederson.
So how about that bullpen folks!!
the Bums are back!
