    Default Fickle Skinner 1/16

Hit the lake on Thursday 1/15 and did ok. Stuck 6 or 7 stripers on the troll after locating moving bait. Even landed a 5 pound largie. Woke up a little early today and though "Oh, what the hell" and hooked up the boat while I was drinking my coffee. Went right to where the bait was. Key word WAS. I trolled and searched my *** off today. Got bumped maybe 4 or 5 times but that was it. Beautiful day but man, the place just shut down overnight. Water still 66* and rising a bit.

It is coming up..... a bit. The tulies are all still high and dry. The fence line in the inlet is now under water but not by much so be careful.

I fished Friday morning from my kayak and had a decent day. I stayed around the south east shorelines and landed 4 LMB all around 2-3 pounds.

A friend of mine was doing the LMB thing and said he was seeing wolf packs roaming around. A little tricky to get them to commit though. I may have to break out the light line setups and try it myself next time.

I went today hawgZ! It was pretty clear. LMB were biting today!!They were liking the finesse. South west area was where they were at, in coves in about 25-30ft deep.

I saw you heading for the freeway on the 79 Saturday. Don't know if you saw me but I gave you a thumbs up. I was in a red Dodge pick up heading for the northbound 15.

Thanks guys, may head out there Tuesday...
