also try using cheese powerbait, salmon egg powerbait and garlic flavored power bait. I found these to be the best. 2-3 foot leader sounds about right. Also best place for trout is the northshore. Good luck!
I have the best luck with the gulp garlic scent varieties - chunky cheese, chartreuse and rainbow candy as well as inflated nightcrawlers(broken in half). 2-3 ft leader as mentioned above is usually best.
Thanks guys booking a room today hopefully ill have some good pics to post and a goor report come next Monday!!
Hey guys,
One more quick question. I love the stream fishing are there any good streams to fish in big bear that aren't a tough hike? As I said I am taking the family a wife and a 7 yr old girl. they love the streams as I do and I would love to put them on some quality fish.
santa ana river...once your up there go to opposite end of dam and take hwy 38 towards redlands till you reach glass rd which turns into seven oaks rd there is some good stream access for the wife and daughter good luck
Thanks for the info!
anyone been up there recently?
thinking about this weekend.
Thank you
Sorry for the late reply, I was up on the weekend of Feb 21-22 only caught one. Nice size, didn't put a lot of pressure on one spot though moved around checking out the lake. Caught at the dam. Will post pictures later.
