Arrived at opening - 6am. Set up in the flats and was rewarded with an early bite. Picked up 4 by 8:30 and waited until 10 to finish off the limit. By then the shoreline was full. All fish were between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 lbs. They all fought well. Saw two other fishermen bring in an 8lber and 10+lber. You had to be there early to pick up your limit because as the crowd settled in the bite became random.

I rented a boat out there on Saturday. I'm just getting into fishing and this was my second time at LNL. I caught the first fish at 8:00 on a silver/ red Kockadile spoon lure (just over 2lbs.). I didn't get any bites for a while and started throwing out a red/ gold Buoyant spoon lure and caught 2 more (a 2pounder and a 3 pounder) back to back at 11:15. All 3 were caught between the 2 islands.

I also had a spinner rod with power bait and didn't get any hits on it.

It was a fun day out there. I'll definitely try LNL again!
