Default first time dropping my boat in dvl, inspection tips for rain.

Gonna be heading to dvl with a buddy to toss big baits. I don't want to get turned away, what should I expect? Iv only been inspected at Crowley in the sierras. Boat is stored in my garage so it is dry.any info and tips are appreciated.

It will also get inspected for a fire extinguisher, flotation seat, PFD's, distress flag and air horn/whistle if you don't have a MWD sticker on it.

Before you get to the lake!!! Make sure bilge, live well and other compartments are bone dry. Also, drop you outboard down and be sure it is completely dry. A drop of water will get you banned. Good luck.

If it rains - don't go. If it's dry - not that big of a deal. If you have a cooler or ice, don't put it in your boat until after inspection.
