1/2 Day on the WESTERN PRIDE

Had to use up our discounted vouchers by the end of the month, so we took a ride on Sunday and caught a few fish. We opted for the afternoon boat and ended up having a nice time on the water. Easily the shortest drive out I've ever been on, as the captain put us on some fish just about 7-10 minutes out of Newport Harbor.

Fishing was kinda slow. A few short lings, a bunch of tiny red's, and a mix of rock fish. There were a few decent sized reds (mine were all juniors), but there weren't any "wow" moments. The conditions were great, the captain and crew were friendly, and I had a great time on the Western Pride.

Pretty sure we were 150' - 200' deep.

ya...I'm always wanting to pull in a PHATTY, but sometimes just being on the water is good enough for me...so any fish in the bag is just a bonus!
