Thread: 10/23 Perris with no plastics day

Default 10/23 Perris with no plastics day

I decided to leave all my plastics behind, I wanted to see how I'd do with just hard/swim baits. No ds, Carolina, Texas or finesse stuff!

1st hr throwing tw and nothing, not even a blow up! The lake was quiet with a bit of wind. So I switched over to Cranks and started catching some.
I got them all on Crank baits, Jerks, Arigs and that it! I fished from 2ft - 20ft. The 3lb crank fish came in with a big pack of Bass ranging
from 2-4lbs so I anchored up and busted out my Arig and fan casted. I caught 3 out of the pack. No exaggeration,
I must of seen over 12 really nice size Bass just sitting there at my boat watching me net his pal that I caught. This was in 7-9 ft of water and
was very cool to watch. I landed 32 total, biggest 5 were 17lbs & change.

    Water temps 71-75
    Water clarity 3-5 ft
Sunny warm day with no cloud and low winds here n there

    7 & 3 Both On crank Baits

2nd Time I get 2 in one Cast using Arigs

Thanks brodder. I went bite less from 10am to 12:30 (went nuts not having worms) & must have casted over 1000'Xs yesterday, lol.

Nice going! Seems like the bite has gotten better (for all fish types) with the lowered water level. Maybe less structure for the baitfish to hide?

Great work out there. I hit a very similar pattern there not too long ago. One after another on the CBs. Such a fun bite!
