Sunday Big Kat

Fished from a rental for an hour Sunday. Caught a nice largemouth and a massive catfish. Did not chase boils because eff that. Fish weren't biting anything anything until I hit em up GUERO_STYLE. Catfish maxed out the scale at Castaic Landings, but it was 30" long by 19" girth. Doing the math I'd guess it was between 10-16lbs. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. Released the bass to be caught by 500 other people.

Guero is a term for a white dude (commonly heard as "weto/huero"). GUERO_STYLE is the way I learned to fish when no other presentations work. If a slip sinker and leader don't get bit - tie on a guero rig. Oxblood drop shot not getting noticed? Guero-rig. No love on the swim baits? Guero-rig. It always catches but requires extreme patience to fish and can be frustrating at times. I've been trying to learn the way everyone else fishes around here but it ain't working for me, so it's back to what I know.

Gonna try and get out again this weekend, should be able to do some major damage now that I'm back on the water.

If that cat had a circle hook with 15lb test in his mouth that i lost two weeks ago, then you owe me two pieces of those nice chunks you fried up!!
GOOD CATCH........BUT THREE SLICES OF WHEAT BREAD WITH CAT ON THE BOTTOM, AND THAT BASS (that you released) ON TOP WOULD HAVE BEEN DELICIOUS!!!!!
