Does this mean lake will remain closed? If not will it affect the bites?

Yup, lake is closed Tuesday. Whether or not it hurts the bite is a hot topic. I say no......

Love it when it's a cloudy morning like last Saturday. Stripe were broiling everywhere in the middle of the lake. Luckily we were able to catch some off the shore then on rental boat after seeing broils where we can't reach for.

If the lake was blue stone wait at least a week then it will return to normal or you can always come on down and donate your fees to the county of riverside they will greatly appreciate it.

I'm guessing the lake employees know in advance when the county is going to blue stone the lake. Why not post it at the entrance to the lake a week or so prior to closing the lake. I, like most boaters, don't go to the Skinner web site prior to going out to fish. I was there, along with several other boats, yesterday morning. I was asked by an employee at 5:45 if I was there to fish? The boat attached to my truck should have been his first clue. A friend of mine and I pulled out of line and went to Perris, where the LMB fishing was great. We also stopped and picked up some crickets for some excellent gill fishing at the dam.

Well I don't know if the Bluestone affected the Bass bite (we'll wait for Big Bob to weigh in on that) but if anything it turned on the stripers. Bait was everywhere and Mr stripey was on it.

Blue stoning had zero affect of the fishing. Just like the day after the last blue stoning I had an epic morning to say the least.

Since the water level has gone down I have not been focused on the LMB fishing. I never thought the day would come I would be saying that the following picture was my by catch for the day.

I had a buddy with me today and we had 20-25 fish landed by 8am and we were out of the water by 8:30. All fish were caught on top water baits. Had 3 lmb and the rest stripers with one going north of 6#.

I hope they raise the water ASAP.
