Beating the skunk 09-04-2014 (santa fe dam)

Took my coworker out for his first time fishing at the dam. Got there at 4 and launched around 430 on my sea eagle. Don't even bother with the trolling motor here. Still too damn weedy.

Threw an (olive colored?) fat IKA with blue and purple flakes on 3/0 red gamakatsu. Combed the weed line we parked in and got a hook up on my 3rd skip into the weed line! Really only fished for 2 hours, but only caught 2 bluegill and this smallmouth. 15" and i think my scale was broken. Fought him for a good minute through weeds on 6# seaguar. Fun day.
