Thread: Any trout left in the lake?

BBL is the best trout fishing lake south of the Sierra's. Holdovers that take fly's almost as aggressive as Crowley. But a tube, boat, kayak etc... is many times necessary to get away from the choked up shoreline.

I've been out on holiday weekends weaving between party boats and getting slammed in crazy crowded conditions, just stick to the 5mph areas to minimize chances of getting killed by drunk party boat operators. Thought about hitting it this weekend but think I'll wait a week.

We caught two Friday evening trolling leadcore at the dam end of the lake. We were using tiny rapala lures. Fished from 5 to 7. Beautiful evening out for a beer cruise. Super nice out right now and calm. Going to hit up the bluegill for the kids today if we can find them...

That lake used to hold salmon also.

Ill 2nd that seal! Got the annual pass once i bought my boat and it hasn't let me down! My first time trolling it I hit the grand slam...crappie, trout, smallmouth, and a bullhead! I troll it with leadcore. Small rapalas and needlefish!! I stay away holiday weekends though it is a joke with all the watersports and traffic!
