Default The jim-bob-dms-mountain gorilla -topwater terror episode

I had been talking to jim for a while about going out with him for a day of fun well it was today we were the first in line , then dan pulled up right behind my work truck. me and jim talked about what we thought we were going to do ,and in the dark I started yelling at dan ,he finally got tired of my crap and came over and shot the breeze, next thing we know here comes the silverback mountain gorilla . we all talked about what we thought was up ,and I told jim what had happened the day before .we hit the water and hauled *** ,got to the zone with breaking fish everywhere , my first cast and hookup ,first blood and the slay was on, it was so good we had to put back fish and slow down or we would be at limits in an hour . dan and ron hit a beach spot behind us and were surrounded by boiling stripers and the dms was tearing in to them. jim and me decided to move towards them because the action was very intense , we were all laughing killing mr stripey and talking all kinds of crap ,it was a blast. after about an hour and a half it slowed me moved around for a while ,the trolled for a minute then decided to check the other side of the lake before too many boats showed up. after checking a big part of the other side which looked like a graveyard , we went back to the other side and fished of and on boils for the rest of the day ,I don't think we trolled more than 30 minutes and we had a really great day,,,,,,,,,,thank you jim for taking me out and thank you dan and ron for being such good friends and good sports..........by the way ron we had a boat come up and ask if we were in the T-L-L-C..............the guy reconized jims boat and asked about some other boats like a red crestliner,,,,,,,I just kept quiet and laughed..............T/O.............

Way to go get em guys, I am glad the fish finally got over their bout of lockjaw, and actually started to behave like the stripers we all have grown so fond of. It is good to see Jim, hopefully one day soon I will see him in person!..................Dave

Thanks Dave, Looking forward to seeing you out there again. You know better than anyone how much fun a day with Bob can be.

We both got hit on the first cast but mine came off close to the boat :( and it was crazy for the first part of the morning.

We moved around the rest of the day dodging lice and trying to guess where they might show up next.

It was an honor having Bob on the boat and we enjoyed a laid back day of fishing, talking, giving Dan and Ron a hard time and catching plenty of fish.

Thanks for coming along Bob, it was a day to remember.

That was some fast action! We had a blast fishing with you JimBob. For a while we had fish boiling between us and all way around both boats. Now I wish that I had stopped to take a picture!

Here are some pictures that I took later.

Dan with a couple of his fish.

Dan was the hot stick on his boat. I caught easy limits but I was really watching him bail.

I think we pulled limits from that first boil.

Here are the ones we kept.

I did get lucky and got the two big fish. The big one on the a boil and another on the troll.

I asked Dan to take this picture of my truck when we were getting ready to leave.

    It just spoke to me!
