Catalina Island Yellowtail, Calico Bass, and Spotted Bay Bass
I was able to go fishing with a friend on his boat and we went to Catalina Island. We fished the west end of the island and was able to land 3 yellowtail on the boat. We also managed to catch 3 nice calico bass with the largest being 17", which was mine :} It was also an all you can catch bonito day. We must of had about 20 on the boat and back in the water they went. All fish caught at Catalina were on sardines.
On the way in we stopped at a spot and I managed to catch a nice 12" spotted bay bass on a violet shad hawg seeker. I caught 4 fish at this spot with the spotted bass as the only one I took a picture on.
