    Default Fishing at Oceanside

This week we went to Oceanside in San Diego. Since we were there we decided we may as well go on a boat off the harbor. We went off the Electra 1/2 day boat. It wasn't really a typical group of people, many of the people on the boat didn't know how to fish so the crew had to focus on that. There were also many little kids from ages 5-13, in fact they had a kid helping out as the crew on the boat. I didn't really expect to catch that many fish on the boat since the over night boat I went on last summer caught only a couple fish. My sister and I however caught the most fish on the boat, we couldn't even count. We caught calico, mackreal, and I caught several barracuda. All the fist we caught were too small to keep which was okay since we were in a hotel. One person caught a legal yellow tail which was really cool. Another guy had a fish on the line for maybe 20-30 minutes and the line eventually snapped we weren't sure what it was but the crew said it was definitely a fish. SO many people caught fish, but they weren't legal so they couldn't keep them. The boat was lots of chaos but it was so fun and we had lots of laughs, for example the crew said at least 15 times to not leave the nets in the bait tank because it was killing the bait and we didn't get lots of bait, which I found very funny. Overall it was a really fun trip and I would love to go again next summer. My dad is even talking about taking me to Alaska to fish soon which would be super fun. I really recommend going on a boat out of Oceanside it was so fun.

Sounds like lots of action for a 1/2 day... Good job out there. The girls always slay. When the wife goes out with me, I usually get outfished. I won't admit that to her though... :)
