21 hours at New Hogan
Made the trip up to New Hogan yesterday evening on the water at 6pm. Went straight to troll. Worked an area that has been producing in my last couple trips for 3 dinks and 3 dink bass. We worked area hard intell the sun went down.
After sun went down we set up anchor of a point and drop the light in the water.
it took 45 min before the bait started to show up. After 2 hours we had a massive bait ball around our boat.
after nothing on the cutbait and watching the stripers shadows blow threw the shad I grabbed my net and made a quick deep and netted me some live bait.
Almost as soon as I dropped the shad down it was fish on a combination of striper and catfish. By 1 am landed 6 catfish and 10 stripers all released plus another dozen mist bites. Around 1 am went to sleep. Got up at 5am cleaned up boat and went back to the troll.
continue to work area as day before for no fish so moved on then I found them all schooled up tight over the next 6 hours we worked this area hitting the wolf packs. All quality 3-5# fish. Over 40 fish for this trip. No boils but saw fish working and shad jumping all over the lake.
