ONEIL FOREBAY TRIP!,,Bako Boys and fresno,s finest D/K!

Headed up to oneil sat solo,,,,launch,d at 8 ish am,,,,,,,,,Look,d the lake over a bit and went to work,,,salad was bad BUT only in certain areas and ares under 11 feet deep,,,,,,,,,,started out wide open,,,,,,,was working me to death with 2 rods so by noonish I switched to 1 rod and really had a blast,,,,,,,,most of the fish up to this point were running 1 to 2 1/2 lbs and F A T !!!,,,,,,,REALLY yoked up and strong,,,here,s a pic of the avg bite to this point

doubles were common until I switched to the single hook rig and just 1 rod




Then I workd my way up to the 152 bridge and seen this,





A ton a current coming out the channel,,,,,


That's where I found the better fish,,,,

landed 8 or ten VERRY solid keepers< 18 INCH MINIMUM> with a cpl 5 and 6,s and a lost 9ish at the boat side due to an ,,lol lets just say ,,,error in boat readiness,,lol,,


These fish were really amazingly fat and strong,,,,havnt seen that in a while,,,,,,here,s a pic of one of the better fish on top of the BIG cooler

Then watched this guy launch,,,,,,,if you could call it launching,,,lol,,,,,,,more like driving in and cruzing around then driving out



,,Fished till 7 30pm ish then loaded the boat and to the campsite!!,,,really tired,,lol.


The next morn was great!! D/K showd up with coffee and a net, and my bako brother showd up also,,,,,,,THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUGHT!,,,,,,,,We were on almost as soon as the 1st line went in,,,,,,,,,not as w/o as the day before BUT we still managed 30 ish with 4 good keepers in the bunch,,,and the company was top notch!

All fish were released!,,,,,,,,,,

The boat was fantastic,,,,,,,the company FANTASTIC and the fishing was REALLY good,,,,,,,,what more could a man ask on a fishing trip,,,,a real blessing for me after a cpl months of solid work,,,,

Sounds like good times and great fishing boys. I got called and hung up on too on Saturday when TB was killing them. Should have manned up and drove up and back on Saturday.

I'm on vacation last week of July and first week of August, and an O'Neill trip is definitely gonna happen one of those weeks.
