Had a blast with my 2 nephews Shane(14) and Christian(18) who have been really wanting to get out with me and troll. I was very skeptical because we were in a full moon cycle and I always have a tougher time during this moon phase.
We were first to launch and I was Amazed how much the water level has dropped since my last trip. I'd guess another 20 ft.
I headed straight to the fish arm and This time it took me about an hour to find the school opposite side of my last trip.
It was pretty fast and furious to get to 16 and then it went dead on us.
Christian posing with one of his schoolies.
It was like love at first sight!
Shane proud of one of his schoolies.
My nephew Shane managed a nice smallie on the troll. Kinda made my day. That fish ripped some good drag.
It was absolutely awesome with these guys out there. We had tons of laughs and jokes all day.
I did see some single striper boils out there but didn't want to stop the boat and give 101 lessons how to cast while one of them hooks my ear so I continued trolling for only 4 more fish.
Not a WFO bite for me but still satisfied we ended with 20 dinks. I wasn't concerned with size this trip cuz I just wanted them to experience some action. And that we did!
Originally Was gonna take them to the wood with all the action Bob had last week but cancelled due to high wind advisory.
I do have to say that I do miss my fishing bud AA. He's really taking this work stuff a little too serious. He's gotta get his priorities straight and realize fishing should come first. Haha
