    Default Crowley Last 3 weeks

have been on fire for those that like still water midging...

20+ days are there to be had if you spend some time.

The fish are deep 16-23 feet.

Getting the Crowley Slam is fairly common and occasionally you can get the Grand Slam.

I got 18 on 5/18, 23 fish on 5/25, and 13 in three hours on 6/1 (with my 5 year old)

    Here are some pics.

I was on my yak, tubers, and boats all getting fish that were midging.

When the wind cooperates, the fishing is amazing...

Get out there if you can.

    Most fish are 16-20 inches.

    Happy hunting.

Some very nice fish. Midging is amazing there right now as you've shown.

So are we lipping trout like Large Mouth Bass now? Looked in my handy fly fishers manual and couldn't find that one. Last time I watched a bait guy do that with a much smaller fish, he pretty much dislocated his jaw permanently.

Im heading up on the 20th for 8 days. Never hit Crowley before it was way too windy to tube it when I was there so we went to rock creek instead. I been on the MAJOR fly kick lately up in Utah at Panguitch and Aspen Mirror lakes. Been going up every weekend for last 2 months. Tigers are chewing something fierce. Anyway back to Eastern Sierra....Whats the fly set up? Top fly?? What color and size midge? The wife is getting pretty large with the new coming fish slayer hoping I can manage to get her on the water for atleast a morning in the tubes before getting blown away. Thanks guys and Jimmy super sweet pics I got goose bumps of anticipation waiting to get up there. Ill post a report with some pics in the out of state section of the Tigers, Cuts, and Brookies we been getting in Utah.

Getting there early, usually gives you best chance at no wind.

this is what it looked like one of my trips out:

fish are deep right now 15-20 feet (but things change quickly) need a sliding indicator. I have a two fly set up with copper tiger and emerger as the set up.

    Good luck!
