My wife's uncle came into Socal from South Carolina last week and we had the opportunity to get out on the water for the day and do some trollin on saturday. Took him to Last Chance to pick up some last minute hardware on Fri, and we hit DV Saturday a.m around 8am. We got a nice hit coming out of the marina by the wave attenuator - but a head shake and it was gone. Water was still in 68f cloudy overcast and cool, didn't burn off until 1030-1100. The Bite was on in the a.m for us , we found some less than 60' on white flies. Ray got a nice keeper he was happy to catch a striper been about 8-9 years since he caught one-gave him a good fight. The bite died down for us we made it over to the SE corner and metered some bait then we called it around 2pm. He really liked the lake and is looking forward to coming back another time.
