I had the day off from work so decided to meet my friend when he got off work for some shore fishing. We both live in OC but he works down by the bay so it works out nicely. I got down early and threw the spinnerbait for 2 fish. After 2 hours in the same spot I went and scouted some other areas but they weren't great. Wind like usual is an issue during the afternoon. I finally met up with him and we tossed around for nothing, but it's cool we were waiting for sunset anyway, tends to be the best time from shore. Once the sun starting going down I was able to pick up another 3 fish and missed a nice one, including a small calico nestled pretty far back in the bay. My buddy had a couple strikes but couldn't hang one, that's how it goes. Gotta really make the most of the opportunities from shore since they don't usually come frequently. Oops, this was from 4/22.
