Default Colorado River April 4/12 to 4/17

Fishing was really bad as they were letting a ton of water out to flood into Mexico. Very fast flowing and really cold. I am sure it either delayed or ruined the spawn right during the middle of it. Being in the middle of two dams, not much we could do...

    Good story here:

Wind blew pretty bad Sun and Mon, but mellowed out in the mornings at least after that. Fish were not aggressive at all and it was hard to find a bite.

Fished the same lures as usual (see my last post if you wish to see what they are).

This guy came out of the water to hit my boys tube. I told him to drop it back in and it hit!

Finally found a bed deep in a cove. Sight fished and got this lady

TWICE!! Couldn't get the smaller male to bite, but it was fun fishing that bed.

It was a great 5 days with just the boy and I!! We'll be back soon and I'll put up some "river lunkers" next time. Promise!
