Glad to hear some bigger schoolies are being caught out there, we need a break from the 1lb dinks that have been so prevalent the last couple years. Water temp still 56-57? I'm already wet wading thought it was getting closer to 60.

    Nice slaughter!

Marie and I got there mid-morning on 4/12, wind was already DOGMATIC bordering on Howling W. We waited around for a break to launch in, and the intensity only increased. Fuggetaboutit, we called it and found some tacos in Hesperia. It blew strongly most of the way home on 395 to Ridgecrest. Even the dirt bikers camped at the Trona Road turnoff were hunkered down out of the wind. Such is springtime in the high desert.

Haven't visited Izzy since February, at that time the water was 10 feet of depth below the end of the launch ramp concrete endpoint. Hence the haul to The Wood. Will be trying The Wood Thurs 4/24 if the wind ever slows.

Wind will probably pick up in the afternoon but tomorrow morning should be ok.
