    Probably a hybrid. The dorsal spines look too short.

    Redear dominant green hybrid? The rest of it looks normal, though.

    Perhaps it's just so fat it makes the spines look odd. :D

    im never caught a redear but caught lots of small well tiny bluegills compared to that BIG MONSTER All I can say is WOW and CONGRATULATIONS that's a catch of a life time and that's cool your daughters were there to share that great memory forever

    Congrats on that beautiful fish, must have fought like hell. -I have fond memories fishing with my daughter there back in the 90's, thanks for sharing.

    Congrats Sir, I was there fishing at the Inlet when you caught that monster . You were the talk of the lake that day! Great catch and awesome pictures .

    Do you know if he put it back? That's a beast that needs to breed. I hope he took a pic and put it back, but if he didn't, I'm sure it was very tasty haha.
